04 VARNA Departure for Nessebar – originally a Thracian settlement founded about 7 BC, World Heritage Site. The more than 3,000-year-old site is the one of the most visited palces on the Bulgarian Black Sea cost. Nessebar has plenty of interesting museums, remains of fortress walls, authentic medieval Roman and Greek street pavements, fortifications of different epochs. A lunch at the sea after arrival and city tour of Nessebar. The road to Varna goes along the coast offering splendid sea vistas. Dinner and overnight in Varna.
05 VELIKO TARNOVO Morning city tour of Varna – the biggest city at the Bulgarian The Black sea cost, an important business and university center. We visit Varna Cathedral and Varna Archeological museum – see the world’s oldest gold treasure, dating from 4,600 BC to 4,200 BC. Departure for of Veliko Tarnovo after lunch. On the way visit Madara rider – a rock relief dated in the very late 7th, or more often very early 8th century, during the reign of Bulgar Khan Tervel, enlisted World heritage site in 1979. Arrival in Tarnovo for dinner. 06 BUCHAREST Morning city tour of Veliko Tarnovo – served as a capital of the Second Bulgarian kingdom it became the most important political, economic and religious centre of the empire. We visit Tsarevets Fortress - the former seat of the medieval tsars, it hosts the remains of more than 400 houses, 18 churches, the royal palace and more. Head towards Romania after lunch. Our road passes through the beautiful Danubian plain to cross the Danube River at the city of Ruse. Arrival in Bucharest, traditional dinner at Caru Cubere – one of the oldest restaurants in Bucharest.
07 SIBIU Morning city tour of Bucharest – The Palace of Parliament, Revolutionary Square, Romanian Atheneum etc. We explore some wonderful art nouveau buildings, ancient churches and monasteries hidden in a very well preserved old town area full of vibrant life, bars and restaurants. After lunch we’re heading North for a 5-hour trip to Sibiu. Sibiu – one of Romania's most important cultural capitals. Walking tour including Huet Square, the Large Square, the Evangelical Cathedral, etc. For dinner we try some local specialties in the main square. 08 BRASOV Morning departure through the picturesque fields and untouched Saxon towns of Transilvania. We stop and take a walk through the cobalt streets of the lovely town of Sighisoara – World Heritage site. Found in 12th century and uniquely preserved until today Sighisoara is also famed for the birthplace of Vlad the Impaler, whose name was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s iconic Count Dracula. After lunch in the famous restaurant Dracula’s house we continue our trip to arrive in the medieval Brasov for dinner and overnight.
09 SINAIA After breakfast we do walking tour of Brasov – the regional capital of the Transylvanian Saxons. Transfer to Bran castle – surrounded by an aura of mystery and perched high on a 200-feet rock, Bran Castle became famous due to its imposing towers and turrets, as well as to the myth created by the Irish novelist Bram Stoker and his Count Dracula. Narrow winding stairways lead through 60 timbered rooms, many connected by hidden passages, housing collections of furniture, weapons and armor from the 14th to the 19th century. Afternoon departure to the wonderful Sinaia. Dinner and overnight. 10 BUCHAREST Today we visit The Peleş Castle – once home to Romania’s first king Carol I. One of the best preserves castles in Europe. Royal Family summer residence, with its 160 rooms filled with priceless European art collections. After a lovely homemade lunch in the forest, we visit Sinaia Monastery – found in 1695, served as a refuge for traders passing through the Prahova Valley, the oldest monument in Sinaia and one of the most important religious monuments in Romania. Transfer back to Bucharest. Relaxing walk in the old town, farewell dinner and overnight. 11 BUCHAREST Transfer to airport according flight schedule.
